CUMMING -- Ruth Powell, 101, died Dec. 8 at Baptist North Hospital.
She was a native of Tattnall County and lived in Manassas for a number of years before moving to Cumming. She was the widow of William Sherman Powell. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Manassas United Methodist Church.
SURVIVORS: two daughters and a son-in-law, Ima Creech of Cumming, and Clara Lee and Aubrey L. Porter of Manassas; a daughter-in-law, Grace Powell of Manassas; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: all day today at NeSmith Funeral Home in Claxton.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Friday at NeSmith Funeral Home, burial in Anderson Church Cemetery.
