"Cecil and my grandfather, Dr. Robert T. Lustig, were roommates at Osteopathic college in Des Moines, Iowa. Cecil knew my grandmother's sister, Polly Curtiss (as she was a distant cousin of Cecil's) and thought Bob Lustig might like her. Well, instead he fell for my grandmother, Evelyn Curtiss. My grandfather later went on to become one of the founders of the Grand Rapids Osteopathic Hospital and he and Cecil were lifelong friends. Cecil may also have had something to do with the GROH, but I don't know. Apparently the names of the founders are on a wall at the new hospital."
