Spanish Religious Figure and Writer. He entered in Carmelitas Order and with Santa Teresa de Jesús, trying to reform this Order. He was in jail for a time. He is remembered for his works full of mysticism. Among the are "Cántico Espiritual," "Noche Oscura," and "Llama de Amor Viva." He was made Saint about 135 years after his death.
