ELLENBURG CENTER-Jennie M. Tourville, 81, of 107 West Hill Road, Ellenburg Center died Friday, February 19, 1999 at Alice Hyde Hospital, Malone, NY, where she had been a patient since January 7.

Born in Mooers Forks, NY on November 26, 1917, she was the daughter of Lewis and Mabel (Ploof) Bobbie.

Mrs. Tourville is survived by three daughters and two son-in-laws, Bernie and Lester Peets of Ellenburg Center, Carmel and Sam King of Ellenburg Center, Elaine Harris of Merrill; a son, Russell Tourville of CA, also 10 grandchildren and 12 great-randchildren.

Also surviving are one sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Harry LaBombard of Merrill;one brother and sister-in-law, Lewis and Joan Bobbie Jr. of Brasher Falls; also several nieces and nephews and brothers and sister-in-laws.

She was predeceased by a close friend, William Senecal.

Mrs. Tourville attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Champlain, NY. She was married to Earl Tourville in 1933 in Ellenburg, NY. He predeceased her in 1955.

Mrs. Tourville was employed at several different locations which include Mooers, Slipper Factory, Ellenburg Central School, Clinton, Correctional Facility at Dannemora, and Alice Hyde Hospital in Malone as a cook. She retired in 1979 after 21 years of service and returned to Ellenburg that year where she aided in the operation of the Ellenburg Inn untill 1991.

For several years she worked at the Amvets where she did Sunday night dinners and she volunteered at the Alice Hyde Hospital snack bar for several years. She was a Communicant of St. Edmund's Church, Ellenburg and a honorary member of St. Edmund's Altar and Rosary Society. Member of Moose Club of Malone.

Calling hours will be held Sunday February 21, 1999 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Chateaugay Funeral Home. Prayer Vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Gilbert Menard and the Altar & Rosary Society of St. Edmund's Church.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday February 22,1999 in St. Edmund's Church with Rev. Gilbert Menard officiating.

Burial will take place at St. Edmund's Church, Ellenburg in the spring.

Donations in her memory may be made to Ellenburg Center Ambulance Fund C/O Ellenburg Center Fire Dept.
