Curtis Christopher Fleming was the son of Augustus Lawton Fleming (1858SC - 1930AL) and Florence Elizabeth Ashley (1869AL-1920AL). He was the Brother of:

(9.) Lorene "Laura" E. Fleming (1913)

Curtis married Pluma V. Heaton on Sept. 12, 1925 in Etowah Co., AL. Some of their Children were:

Curtis passed away in a local hospital following a short illness. His funeral services were held at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Attalla, AL with the Revs. Grover Sims and Charles Kirkus officiating. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Attalla, AL.

Active pallbearers were: John Stevens, Ernest Black, Lawrence Hamilton, Olen Parr, Fred Kelly and Emmett Tilley.

Honorary pallbearers ere the members of Local No. 351 Moulders Union and all personal friends.

He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Pluma Fleming; two sons, Bobby Fleming of Fort Payne, and Kenneth Fleming of Gadsden; four daughters; Mrs. Sue Goza and Mrs. Mary Finley, both of Attalla, and Mrs. Betty Stewart and Mrs. Nancy Tilley, both of Gadsden; three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Oliver and Mrs. Eva Bradley, both of Attalla and Mrs. Lorene Smith of Gadsden; 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Curtis was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County and was employed as a moulder at the Attalla Pipe Foundry.

His Obit appeared in "The Gadsden Times"; Jan. 21, 1962.
