Lucius B Pritchett was the son of Sarah Robina POLK born in Maury county TN. She was the daughter of Benjamin F. Polk (b.1790) and Margaret R. "Peggy" Moore (b.1797) in NC. The Polk's family seemed related to almost everyone who was anyone in deep east Texas politics, as well as to national figures like President James K. Polk.
She married (#1)Joseph Burleson,(b. Jul 15, 1829, Tipton, TN)in San Augustine, TX on 10 Sep 1857. He served with the 27th Regiment,Texas Cavalry(Whitfields Legion)(1st Texas Legion). He died in battle on 31 May 1862 in the civil war. He was the son of Joseph & Mary Warren Burleson.
