HANNIBAL ­ Mary E. Borgmeyer, 69, of Hannibal, died at 6:10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
A Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Borgmeyer will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, at Holy Family Church in Hannibal. Father Mike Quinn will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and a prayer service will close the visitation on Sunday, Jan. 7, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.
Mrs. Borgmeyer was born Aug. 24, 1931, in St. Charles, to Louis A. and Leona Schneidemeier Richter.
She was married to Alfred F. Borgmeyer on Oct. 20, 1951. He preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1994.
Survivors include six daughters, Nancy Poterjoy, Vandling, Pa., Glenda Dixon, Hannibal, Brenda Sederwall, Lenexa, Kan., Linda Tubbs, ElDorado, Ark., Theresa Webster, Plano, Texas, and Barbara Brown, Valdosta, Ga.; two sons, Daniel Borgmeyer, Cross Lanes, W.V., and Bob Borgmeyer, Hannibal; one brother, Louis Richter, Wentzville; 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by an infant sister.
Mrs. Borgmeyer retired after 19 years as secretary for food services at Hannibal Regional Hospital. She was a member of Holy Family Church, where she was organist for many years. She had played the organ since age 9, and served as organist in various churches since childhood. She was also a member of the Council of Catholic Women, Hannibal Regional Hospital Auxiliary and the Lillian Lane Circle of Kings Daughters.
Memorials may be made to the Hannibal Regional Hospital Auxiliary.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Wilson, Cody Malone, Jonathan Borgmeyer, Joshua Borgmeyer, Jason Sederwall, Larry Brown, Dustin Webster and Jason Yeager.
