Thomas James Heaton was recorded as T. J. on the 1930 United States Federal Census. His family lived in a house they owned on Heaton Road at Jim Creek, just east of Arlington in Snohomish County, Washington. Thomas enlisted as a Private in the U. S. Air Corps at Tacoma, Washington on December 13, 1940. His enlistment document states he resided in Snohomish County. He had four years of high school, was single, and was working on a farm. Thomas was 5' 9" tall and weighed 148 lbs.
Thomas died of a heart attack at the young age of 38, leaving behind a wife and two young children.
