Delores Chambers Patton, 79, of Blair, died May 16, 2002, in Blair.

Delores Chambers (Deets) Patton was born Aug. 31, 1922, at the Blair Hospital to Ross and Mona Chambers Deets. She lived in Blair until 1941, when she moved to Omaha to attend Van Sant Business College.

On May 28, 1942, she married Ralph K. Patton. The couple lived in numerous places around the United States when her husband was not flying combat missions during World War II and the Korean War. They lived in Sacramento, Calif., for six years, then moved to southern California, where they lived for 37 years before retiring and moving back to Blair. The couple lived in Blair since May, 1990.

Mrs. Patton had a 27-year career in public relations before retiring due to poor health. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church of Blair.

Mrs. Patton is survived by her nieces and nephews, and a cousin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, and a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Harold Johnson.
