My mother-in-law, Winney Tate, departed this life on the 13th of April, 1856. Aged near 90 years. She was born in South Carolina, married Robt. Tate in Virginia, where she united with the Methodists, then lived more than 30 years in Kentucky where she joined the Baptists, and 9 years ago she came to Indiana; soon united with the Church of God in Springville, in which she remained, till death. Mother Tate was one of the kindest of women, a good and loving mother, as well as a kind and affection wife.
