Religious Leader. He was an organizer of the Protestant Episcopal Church in America in 1785. White served as the Rector of Christ Church and St. Peter's Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from 1779 until his death in 1836. In 1786 he was elected as the First Episcopal Bishop of Pennsylvania and served until his death in 1836.

William White married Gabriel Davis and Susanna Diller in 1835 in Philadelphia. They named their first son--William White Davis (1836-1925) after Rev. White. Now, you all must know each other well!|
