Mrs. Engleke Died Tuesday
Mrs. George Engleke passed away Tuesday morning, July 10th, from a complication of diseases, thought at one time to be cancer. She was first taken sick about two years ago but had been failing rapidly since May of this year. Since which time she has been at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Stricklett, on east Nebraska Street.
There the funeral service was held at 2 o'clock this afternoon, Rev. W. F. Robb officiating. There was a large attendance and many beautiful floral offerings, testified to the high esteem in which she was held by all who knew her. Marry Ella Stricklett was born on a farm near DeSoto, February 3rd, 1898, so was just past 30 years of age at the time of her death. When she was 18 years of age she was united in Marriage to George Engleke and they came to Blair to make their home.
Four children were born to them, Helen, George, Virgil, and June, all of who were present at the funeral service, also her parents and an only brother, Cecil. Another brother, Sidney Lee, preceded her in death.
The bereaved parents and children have the sincere sympathy of their many friends.
