Una was the daughter of John Lewis Bench and Mary Elizabeth (Mitchell) Bench. She was married two times. First to Samuel G. Bliven (1876-1929) on June 5, 1920 in Lawrence County, Arkansas. Una had four children with Samuel G. Bliven. After Samuel died in 1929, Una married William Edward Hester (1879-1948). Una would be stepmother to several of William's children from his previous marriage to Iva Myrtle Lauderback who died in 1922.
