John Werner, 90, a former resident of Lowville was found dead in bed Friday at the home of his son, Otto P Werner in Camden. Death was attributed to natural causes.
Mr Werner was born in New Bremen August 9, 1867, a son of John and Lina Stevens Werner. He married Anna Pfaff, of Naumburg, January 29, 1896. They lived in Lowville and later moved to Oneida.
Mr and Mrs Werner went in 1930 to Camden where Mr Werner operated a meat market and grocery store with his son. He continued in this business until last fall, when he retired because of ill health. Mrs Werner died August 18, 1953.
Mr Werner is survived by a son, Otto, one grandchild, Mrs John Kroll, and one great grandchild, all of Camden.
Funeral services were held Sunday with burial in Camden.
