April Lyn Shinkle, 53, of Jackson, Wyoming, died March 27, 2010, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born October 13, 1956 to Leslie B. Shinkle, and Sandra E. Harris Shinkle in Jackson Wyoming at the old St. Johns Hospital. She was raised in Jackson Valley on a ranch until the family moved to Laramie, Wyoming in 1971. She graduated from the Laramie Senior High School in 1975 and continued to live in Laramie until 2001 when she moved back to Jackson to help her mother after the death of her father. She was employed at St. Johns Hospital at the time of her death.
April enjoyed making various crafts and was very talented. She also enjoyed spending time with her niece, Leslie and loved her deeply.
She is survived by her mother, Sandra Shinkle, of Ririe, a sister Barbara (Larry) Seip, of Laramie, Wyoming, and a niece, Leslie Kay (Joe Merchen) Robertson, of Ririe, and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Leslie Bryce Shinkle, and her Grandparents.
A memorial service will held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., prior to services at the funeral home.
