Mary Colleen Lundquist, 86, of Ririe, passed away Tuesday, March 7th 2017 at Parkwood Meadows assisted Living in Idaho Falls.
Colleen was born August 24th 1930 in Ririe, Idaho a daughter to Herbert Sylvester Poore and Ila Ellen Freeman Poore. She attended Ririe schools graduating from Ririe High School. She married Allan Davies in February of 1948 in Idaho Falls. They were later divorced. She later married Delbert Frank Lundquist, November 12, 1965 in Ririe. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
She worked as an office manager for Carson Tahoe Hospital overseeing the medical records. After moving back to Ririe she and her husband Delbert were the caretakers and record keeper for the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. She boxed food for the foodbank at the Ririe Senior Citizens for a number of years. She was a member of the DUP. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings one being Relief Society President. She and Delbert served a Mission to Winter Quarters and for many years were officiators in the Idaho Falls Temple.
She enjoyed her family especially her grandchildren, crocheting, gardening, missionary work and loved everyone.
Survivors include: daughters; Carla (Tom) Nichols of Las Vegas, NV, Lorraine (Joe) Brown of Kittridge, CO and Shellie (Jack) Edwards of Idaho Falls, ID. sons; Randall (Linda) Lundquist of Bothell, WS, Delbert Brian (Valerie) Lundquist of Kittridge, CO, Steven (Barbara) Davies of Portland, OR and Kevin (Lori) Davies of Idaho Falls, ID. Sisters; Lida Ransom of Ririe and Nelda Thorington of Shelley, 19 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Delbert, her parents, two brothers and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Saturday March 11, 2017 at the Ririe LDS Stake Center, (14061 N 130 E, Ririe, ID). The family will visit with friends Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the Ririe Stake Center. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
