Alice Ann Barnes was the daughter of Elijah, or Elizah, Barnes (1838-1878) and Elizabeth Ice (1842-1876). (Ice family records provided by Catherine and Lucille Ice.)

Ann Elizabeth Ice, born October 7, 1841, married Elijah Barnes on August 21, 1866 in Nelson County, Kentucky. (Marriage records of Nelson County.)

Elizabeth Ann Ice was the daughter of James W. Ice and Elizabeth (Brown) Ice who were married September 10, 1839. (Ice family researcher Jo Myers.)

Elijah Barnes was a son of Gideon Barnes (1809-1864) and Eleanor (Vowles) Barnes of Nelson County, Kentucky.

Catherine Ice of Bardstown, Nelson County, Kentucky, told me in 2000 or 2001, that her mother, Alice Ann (Barnes) Ice, lived near the river in Kaskaskia, Illinos across the river from St. Mary's, Missouri when Alice was young. Catherine knew no further details, but wanted to make sure that I was aware of the location. (Larry E. Barnes)

Alice Ice died, or was buried, on July 4, 1943 in Saint Catherine Cemetery. Father Gettelfinger was in charge of the service. No further information was listed in these records. (Saint Catherine Church records.)
