My great-great-grandmother. Her parents were George and Ann Webb Jones. She married George Williams in 1884. They then immigrated to the States and had 5 children, the oldest of whom was Herbert (my great-grandpa). At the time of Bessie's death, Pocatello had no street lights. She accidentally fell into the Portneuf River near the city; her body was found the next morning by a fisherman.
Bessie's gravestone gives her year of death as 1897, but according to genealogical records my dad kept as a teenager, she died in 1896.
