OLIVER DODSON RITES - Rev. H. O. Holter Preached Sermon At Funeral Saturday
The funeral of Oliver Dodson, former resident late of Farlington, Kas. was held on Saturday at 2 o'clock from the Konantz mortuary, with many old family friends and relatives in attendance. There were numerous beautiful floral tokens. The family piece was a large pillow inscribed "Dad". Others were from relatives, neighbors and friends.
The Rev. H. O. Holter of the First Methodist church read fitting scripture promises and a comforting prayer. Death does not terminate our existence, though friendships and fellowships are severed by the change. It is meet [sic] that we cherish the good things in life and forget misunderstandings: thus we have peace of soul.
"Sometime We'll Understand" and "In the Garden" were sweetly sung by Will Scott, a cousin of Mr. Dodson. Mrs. A. B. Konantz was the accompanist.
The interment was to Evergreen cemetery. Pallbearers were Henry and Chris Vogis, Christopher Dune, F. W. Hartman, V. E. Hartman and George Hamm.
