Rosa Pearl Sillix was born October 7, 1906 in Fairfax, Kansas (Osage County), daughter of Edward Sillix (1870-1932) and Lucy Ellen Brown (1870-1933).
The 1910 Federal Census for McKinley, Oklahoma (Caddo County) shows Rosie P. Sillix, age 3, born in Kansas; living with her father, Edward Sillix, a farmer, age 40, born in Kansas; and her mother, Lucy E. Sillix, age 41, born in Missouri. Also living in the household were Rosa's older siblings: Edward Sillix, a farmhand, age 14; Archie W. Sillix, age 12; Benjamin F. Sillix, age 10; and Nellie M. Sillix, age 7; all born in Kansas.
In 1923 in Caddo County, Texas, Rosa first married John Washington Belshe, who was born September 14, 1894 in Emory, Texas (Raquins County). Rosa and John had three children: John R. Belshe (1924-1941); Gladys M. Belshe (1925-1994); and Clarence Wayne (1928-1941). John died April 13, 1956 in Odessa, Texas (Ector County). His burial place is not yet known.
Rosa second married Homer 'Chic' Crutcher who was born January 18, 1895 and died April 10, 1970. Homer was buried in the Highland Cemetery, in Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County).
Rosa died June 23, 1983 in Mineral Wells, Texas (Palo Pinto County) and was buried in the Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County) beside her second husband, Homer.
