Mary Virginia Stokes Futch - SAVANNAH - Mary Virginia Stokes Futch, 96, of Savannah, died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Stilson, Ga., and was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Alf Futch, and two sons, Tommy and Jerry Futch. She was a former member of Taliaferro Baptist Church, the Ladies Sunday School Class, Church Training Department, the Adult Ladies Circle of the Church, and she taught Vacation Bible School. After the church closed, she moved her membership to Calvary Baptist Temple, where she was a member of the Homebound Sunday School Department. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Nowell (Gary), and Judy Ingram, both of Savannah, Ga; and a brother, Leon Stokes of Sardis, Ga; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation: 12-2 p.m. Friday at the Fairhaven Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Funeral Services: 2 p.m. Friday at the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with interment in Bonaventure Cemetery.
