Violet May Schultz, 86, Village Green Apartments, Montpelier, died on Wednesday in the Blackford County Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Schultz was a former resident of Hartford City. She was a homemaker and a member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Hartford City.

Surviving are her husband of 65 years, William Jr.; a daughter, Genelda Lancaster, Poneto; a son, Robert, Muncie; six brothers, Lester Hoover, Lehigh Acres, Fla., Floyd Hoover, Greenwood, Larry Hoover, Cambridge City, William Hoover, Winchester, Harry F. Hoover, Sun City, Ariz., and Harold Hoover, Hartford City; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Saturday at the Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St., Hartford City, with the Rev. Stephen M. Fisher officiating. Burial was made in the Union Cemetery, Eaton.
