Francis A. Caffee Langstaff was the daughter of John Calvin Caffee and Eliza Ruth (Reed) Caffee. Francis was born February 2, 1851, in Fairview Township, Jones County, IA. On March 30, 1870, at the age of 19, Francis married Henry Hull Langstaff. They had three children: daughter Zua Eldora, son Alva William, and a baby boy who died at birth on September 11, 1874. Francis died from complications of childbirth and died on September 15, 1874. She and her infant son were buried together.
