A 14 year old local boy died Friday night of injuries received in a one car accident on the Weiss road, about a mile east of the Middleboro pike.
James Cook was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Cook of Middleboro. He was a ninth grade student at Pleasant View school and was a hunting and fishing enthusiast.
Survivors include the parents; one brother, Elvin at home, one sister Mrs. Tron Bailey Rural Route 2, and several aunts and uncles.
Services for the youth will be at 1:30 pm on Monday at the Stegall-Berheide-Orr funeral home in Richmond. Burial will be in Goshen cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm Sunday.
