Earl Krause, 68, Falls Dead
Lifetime Blairite, Long a Brick Mason Dies
Rites Friday at 2
Earle (Coon) Krause, 68, life-time Blairites and long a brick mason, collapsed and died of a heart attack Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Krause was working on a house improvement job in east Blair when he was stricken.
The body was taken to the Campbell Mortuary, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. Officiating will be the Rev. Samuel Elliston of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, and interment will follow in Blair Cemetery.
Earl Godfrey Krause, son of the late Eugene and Rose Carter Krause, was born Apr. 13, 1887. He was a veteran of World War I, serving in Europe.
Surviving him are his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford E. (Duck) Krause, with whom he made his home, and two cousins, Mrs. J.P. Jensen and Mrs. John J. Jensen.

Earl Krause Dies Suddenly
Earl Godfrey Krause, 68, a long time Blair resident, died suddenly Tuesday afternoon of a heart attack while working at a house repair project on east Lincoln Street. He was a brick mason by trade.
Born in Omaha on April 13, 1887, Mr. Krause was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Krause, and came with them to Blair when he was a child. In recent years he had made his home with his brother, and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Krause. His brother is his only survivor.
Mr. Krause had worked as a bricklayer and mason during his life time, and served in the Army during World War I. He was a charter member of the Blair
VFW.
Funeral rites will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at two o’clock at the Campbell Mortuary by the Rev. Samuel Elliston, pastor of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. The V.F.W. firing squad will have charge of military rites at the Blair Cemetery.
