Mrs. Valborg C. Keay
LOGAN, Iowa - Funeral services for Mrs. Valborg C. Keay, 88, a retired schoolteacher and mother of James Keay, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Republic National Bank in Dallas, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Logan Cemetery.
A 53-year resident of Logan, she died Sunday in a Council Bluffs, Iowa, hospital.
In addition to eaching, Mrs. Keay and her late husband, William J. Keay, had owned and operated a school supply printing business.
She is survived by three sons, Clinton Keay, James Keay and Luther Keay; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Eidsvoog; one sister, Inga Gunderson, and two brothers, Harold Biorn and Aimar Biorn.

Daughter of Mathilda Johnson-Biorn. Born Oct. 12, 1888, at Zumbrota, Minn. Graduate of Zumbrota high school and St. Olaf college. Taught school several years before her marriage on Apr. 20, 1919, at Des Moines, Ia., to William James Keay, son of William S. Keay of Fort Madison, Ia. Mr. Keay is engaged in the teaching profession and has served as superintendent of schools at Manly and Logan, Ia., the latter place being the family's present home. Three children.
