OBITUARY: William Arthur Grimshaw, 80, of Callao, died unexpectedly at his home, yesterday.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Carney-Edwards Funeral Home in Callao, with the Rev. Billy Bobbitt officiating. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Callao. Visitation begins Thursday at 4 at the funeral home.
Born July 1, 1899, in Mount Olive area south of Macon, he was a son of Charles W. and Perneta Anspaugh (correct spelling is Anspauch) Grimshaw. He married Virginia (True) Morris in Macon on March 12, 1924, in Macon. He had lived on several farms in the Callao area after his marriage and moved to Callao in the late 1940's. He then worked at the Still-Hildreth Sanatorium in Macon for 19 years. Mr. Grimshaw was a member of the Bevier Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Johnson of Kansas City, Mo.; a son, Raymond D. Grimshaw of Peoria, Ill.; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers, Freeman Greimshaw and Delbert Grimshaw of Macon; three siters, Pearl Cook and Bea Watson of Callao and Ruth Roberts of Macon.
His parents and three siters preceded him in death.
