My first record of Paul is in Dallas, Texas, purchasing land in Elam, Texas, Dallas County on December 17, 1883. He applied for his intention of naturalization papers on July 26, 1887 in Dallas. In 1900, he was still living on the property in Elam, Texas as a farmer. They lived in a log house that had a wine celler.
On July 27, 1903, Paul and Theresia sold their land and moved to California. Their daughter, Mary Theresia, came to Elam and took them back with her to California because she thought they were too old to live on a farm.
