Rites Today at Home for Dr. McCance
Funeral services for Dr. Joseph K. McCance, 86, one of Pittsburgh's oldest physicians who died Thursday in his home, will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock in the family residence at 526 South Aiken avenue. Internment will be in Union Dale Cemetery.
Dr. McCance was born in old Allegheny, received his education in the schools of old Allegheny, Westminster College, the medical school of the University of Pennsylvania and did further post-graduate study in Vienna.
The son of the late Thomas and Mary McCance, he leaves two sisters, Misses Mary L. and Margaret M. McCance of Pittsburgh and a brother, William J. McCance of New Haven, Conn. Dr. McCance never married. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Union avenue, Northside.
