Daughter of Mason Jacob and Loretta (Sansoucie) Richardson.
Married to Louis Whitehead on Nov. 8, 1945, in St. Louis, and had nine children.
She was an active member in the Daughters of Isabella in the parish at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bonne Terre, Missouri. She worked as a cook at the Washington County Memorial Hospital for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a daughter Debbie Barbey; three sisters: Freda Null, Margaret Kemp and Lena Coffman; a brother Jacob Richardson; and 10 brothers & sisters who died in infancy.
Survivers include five sons: Keith Whitehead of Irondale, William Louis Whitehead of St. Louis, Leonard (Peggy) Whitehead of St. Louis, David (Elizabeth) Whitehead of Arnold, and Michael (Brenda) Whitehead of Arnold; three daughters: Margaret (Leonard) Miner of Mineral Point, Carol (Jim) Harmon of Park Hills, and Mary (Harold) Harmon of Mineral Point; a brother James Richardson of St. Louis; a sister Patricia Docklar of Missouri; a son-in-law Mitch Barbey of Washington, MO; 32 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and many dear friends who will also sadly miss her.
Prayer services were held in the Britton Chapel, Potosi, officiated by Father John Schneider.
Funeral masswas held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bonne Terre with Father Jim Hanson officiating. Pallbearers were William, Leonard, DAvid, and Michael Whitehead, Jerry Harmon, and Phillip Whitehead. Honorary pallbearer was Keith Whitehead. Interment and final prayers were held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery located in Bonne Terre. Britton Funeral Home of Potosi handled arrangements.
