RITES FOR MISS SCOTT --
Short Services Are Held at Evergreen Cemetery This Morning.
Short funeral services were held this morning at 10 o'clock at the Evergreen cemetery for Miss Cora Scott, who passed away, in Kansas City Tuesday night after an illness of several months. The services were conducted by the Rev. L. E. Viets.
Miss Scott, who was a sister of the late R. E. Scott of this city, was born in Ottumwa, Ia., in 1872; being at the time of her death 64 years old. She left Fort Scott about 40 years ago and established in business in Kansas City, where she lived up to the time of her death.
Miss Scott leaves one sister, Laura Scott, also of Kansas City.
The Newcomer funeral home at Kansas City was in charge of the body and brought it to Fort Scott, where interment was made in the family lot in Evergreen.
