Byrd died Saturday in Paris, Texas.
Born Dec. 16, 1893, in Red River County, Texas, Byrd had lived in McCurtain and Choctaw Counties most of his life, and was a member of the Valliant Assembly of God Church.
He married Rebecca Clark in 1917 in Valliant, and she preceded him in death in January, 1964.
Survivors include two sons, Bo Byrd of Valliant and F.A. Byrd of Sunray, Texas; six daughters, Dimple Hisaw and Francis Hailey, both of Valliant, Onita Johnson and Sable Tidmore, both of Swink, Jean Voyles of Farmington, N.M. and Flow Dowell of Seattle, Wash.; 25 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
