LINDA L. LARKIN, 66, of Paris, passed from this life Tuesday August 23, 2011 at Dubuis Hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday August 26, 2011 in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Solice officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Linda was born December 12, 1944 in the Biardstown community of Lamar County, a daughter of Martin H. and Aulga Dean Scott Williams. She was a graduate of Delmar High School. She spent her working life as the office manager and bookkeeper for her family's business, Larkin Refrigeration, working beside her husband, but her greatest love was taking care of her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of God.
She married Paul Larkin in 1968 in Paris.
Linda was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Elvington.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Paul, of the home; five sons, Ricky Jones and wife Wendy, of Blossom, Randy Jones and wife Shannon, of Roxton, Michael Jones and wife Caryn, of Paris, Paul Larkin, Jr. and wife Kara, of Paris, and Evan Larkin, of Paris; a daughter, Paula Larkin, of Paris; ten grandchildren; and one brother, David Williams and wife Linda, of Pittsburg.
Named to serve as pallbearers are her grandsons Brandon Williams, Nick Jones, Brian Jones, Tyler Jones, Derek Jones and Austin Lloyd. Named as honorary pallbearers are grandchildren Rachel Jones, Miranda Parks, Brandon Parks and Kobin Jones.
