David, 54, was born to Norman Carl Hansen and Phyllis Marjean Davies. He grew up in Idaho Falls, attending New Sweden Elementary, O.E. Bell Jr. High, Clair E. Gale Jr. High, Idaho Falls and Skyline High Schools, and graduated from Aberdeen High School. He graduated as a Machinist Specialist from ISU Vo-Tech in Pocatello. He has lived in Osgood and Aberdeen, Idaho, Missouri, Utah and California. He served in the Army as a Medic stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He married Annette Lemmon on October 10, 1975, in Pocatello, and they had two daughters before they divorced. He worked on the family farm, as a foreman supervisor for a potato processing plant, as a machinist, and as a chef. He had a deep love and incredible knowledge of a wide variety of music and performers, and participated as a drummer in the band, The Kourds, for several years; a big part of his life was also spent camping, hiking, and fishing with family and friends in the mountains. He belonged to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors included: parents Norman C. and Marjean D. Hansen, Idaho Falls; daughters Andrea Hansen, Pocatello, and Jennifer (Serafin) Ramirez, Clovis, NM; sister Susan Parkinson, Cameron, MO; brothers Douglas (Rita) Hansen, Albany, MO, Michael "Buck" (Robyn) Hansen, Tetonia, and Joseph (Marnee) Hansen, Kennewick, WA
and 5 grandsons. Services held December 30, 2003, at Wood Funeral Home East Side Chapel, 963 S. Ammon, Bishop Norman C. Hansen officiating. Military Rites performed at the cemetery by Bonneville County Veterans.
