WILLIAM EDWARD ADAMS , 23, Prophetstown, passed away early Friday (4 July 1969) in the Morrison Community Hospital, after an illness of 12 days following an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held Monday at the St. Mary's Catholic Church of Tampico at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Father Donovan officiating, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Tampico. Friends may call at the Gardner Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A memorial has been established in his name. William Adams was born May 9, 1946 in Princeton, the son of Robert E. and Velma Connelly Adams. He was educated in the Tampico schools and married Sue Hummel of Prophetstown on Dec. 11, 1965 in Tampico. He lived in the Tampico area all his life and was employed at Micro Gear, Prophetstown. He was a member of the St. Mary's Church of Tampico. He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Bliss and Wendy at home; parents, six brothers, Robert of Peoria; Douglas of Prophetstown; Michael, Gregory, Francis and David, all of Tampico; two sisters, Julie and Marjorie of Tampico; maternal grandmother and paternal grandparents.
