THE DEATH OF SAMANTHA A FIDLER
Samantha A. Fidler, wife of Orlando Fidler, died this morning at 6:30 o’clock at the family residence in Wea township, two miles west of Crane. Her death was caused by neuralgia of the heart and was the culmination of only a few days’ illness. Mrs Fidler was born in Lauramie township July 22, 1844. She was a life long ember of the Christian church, and her life was full of good deeds and kindnesses. She was loved and admired by all who knew her. She was the mother of six children, all of whom survive, with the father, viz: Mrs Melissa Williams, Lafayette; Mrs Mettie Coble, Carroll county; George, Frank and Joseph Fidler and Mrs Lulu Goldsberry, residing near Dayton. The funeral will be conducted from the Wildcat Methodist church., Sunday morning at 10:30 o’clock. Rev Mr Utter, pastor of the Dayton Methodist church, will officiate and interment in the Wildcat Cemetery. (Lafayette Daily Courier, January 19, 1906)
