Gerald Winegar
Gerald Winegar, 70, of 1243 Blandy Avenue, died at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday in Good Samaritan Medical Center. He had been in ill health for several months.
Born June 19, 1902, in Gallia County, he was a son of Chauncey and Eva Swisher Winegar. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Eagles Lodge and the Moose Lodge.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Geraldeen) Schoop with whom he made his home; one brother, Garen of Ardmore, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. Neva Kimes of South Charleston, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His wife, Clara, and one brother are deceased.
Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the DeLong and Baker Funeral Home, Rev. Warren H. Wilson will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
