Private graveside funeral services for Mrs. Irma N. Gambill, age 78, of Buffalo were held at 10 AM, Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Old Bowling Cemetery. Rev. Louis Neyland, pastor of the Venetia Baptist Church, officiated.

Irma Neal Gambill was born March 12, 1933 in Old Bowling. Her parents were Erma Dewitt and Reba (Faison) Neyland. She lived in Dallas and worked as a Data Processing Supervisor for the Glidden-Durkee Company for over 25 years. In 1983, she retired and moved to the Old Bowling Community to take care of her mother. Later, she moved to Buffalo (2002) where she lived until her death. Irma was a member of the Clear Creek Baptist Church and her daughter and granddaughters said that she was a marvelous cook. They always enjoyed eating at her table. She loved her four great grandchildren and was appreciative of her two granddaughters for producing them for her! Irma was an avid reader. She watched TV and her favorites shows were cooking shows and "Wheel of Fortune".

Irma Gambill was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Curtis Neyland; sisters, Ruby Grimes and Carol Villanueva and a daughter, Bobbie Jean Gambill. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Mike Vestal of Buffalo; a brother, Toady Neyland and his wife, Louise, of the Old Bowling Community; a sister, Martha Heidelberg and her husband, Leroy, of Lexington, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Shelly Dixon and her husband, John, of Bedford and Erica Cupp and her husband, Dane' of Ft. Worth; four great grandchildren, Jason, Carter and Camran Cupp and Emma Dixon (the "Princess") and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers were Mike Vestal, Dane' Cupp, Leroy Heidelberg, Franklin Heidelberg, Jason Castro and Brad Heidelberg.

Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo was in charge of all arrangements.
