Jack Allen Johnson, a resident of Okmulgee, died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011 in Tulsa at the age of 61. He was born March 20, 1950 in Joplin, Missouri to James Johnson and Geneva Ames. He was married to Cathy Johnson-Lowery for the past eight years and worked on the maintenance crew at Silver Dollar City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Eddie Johnson and Charles E. Johnson; and by his sister, Peggy Fransisco. Survivors include his wife, Cathy Johnson of the home; three children: Ricky Rowland of Okmulgee, Jack Allen Johnson Jr. of Denver, Colo., and Chad Edward Johnson and wife Jalyssa of Anderson, Missouri; two brothers: Jimmy Ray Johnson of California and Gary V. Johnson of Missouri; two sisters: Bonna Smith of Joplin and Anita McCarthy of Highridge, Missouri; five grandchildren; one great grandchild, and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 16 from noon to 7 p.m. at the Lowery family home at 32160 S. 173 Rd., Weleetka.
A wake service will be held on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at the Lowery family home in Weleetka. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Lowery family cemetery behind the Lowery home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Junior Taylor and Pastor Will Gordon. Pallbearers will be Marc Roberts, Jason Harjo, Nathan "Pee Wee" Tony, Waylon Whitlow, Clinton Primeaux, Mike Lowery, Allen Lowery, and Eric Leach. Honorary Pallbearers include Ricky Rowland, Chad Johnson, and Jack Johnson, Jr.
