| Birth: | Apr. 30, 1896 | | Death: | Oct. 6, 1974 |  World War I Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. Born in He served as a Gunnery Sergeant in the 1st Marine Aviation Force, US Marine Corps. While serving in a company with planes from Squadron 218, Royal Air Force, conducting an air raid at Pittham, Belgium, October 14, 1918, Gunnery Sergeant Robinson's plane was attacked by nine enemy scouts and he shot down one of the enemy planes. In a later air raid over Pitthan, Belgium, on 14 October 1918, his plane and one other became separated from their formation and were attacked by 12 enemy scouts. Gunnery Sergeant Robinson, after shooting down one of the enemy planes was struck by a bullet in his elbow. He continued the fight off the enemy planes while his pilot maneuvered for a safe position until he collapsed after receiving two more bullet wounds. For heroism and gallantry in action with enemy planes, he was awarded the Medal of Honor and later achieved the rank of 1st Lieutenant. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
