Roy Earl Cashion, age 74, of Waco, died Wednesday, August 21, 1996, at his residence. His cause of death was cancer. Services at 11:30A Friday, August 23, 1996, at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Durham officiating. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery.

Mr. Cashion was born on November 22, 1921, in Waco and attended Waco Public Schools. He also attended North Texas Agricultural College in Arlington. He married Virginia Bryan on October 11, 1942. He was the founder and principal owner of Dealers Electric Supply Company until 1986 when he sold the company to its employees. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather business man and rancher. A prominent and nationally known western art collector, Mr. Cashion sponsored some of today's most famous western artists. He served in WWII in the US Air Force and was a member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Bryan Cashion of Waco, three daughters, Barbara Ann Thomas of Forth Worth, Cynthia Lois Allen of Carizzo Springs, Mary Cashion Smith of Wichita Falls; sister, Dorothy Mae Borgenson of Fort Worth; brother, John H. Cashion of Colorado; grandchildren, Monica Goolsby, Lisa Palazzati, Scott Thomas, Robert Real, Christine Real, Natalie Smith and Scott Smith.
