Funeral Services for Earl Fickel

INDIANOL, IA.--- Services for Earl Fickel, 80, of Indianola, who died of a heart attack Thursday at home on April 23, 1987, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Behner
Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glasgow Cemetery near there.
Mr Fickel was born in Van Buren County and farmed near Fairfield before moving to Indianola in 1958. He was a retired livestock and grain farmer and a carpenter. He was a member of Odd Fellows Lodge 70, Patriarch Militant and Biglow Canton 6 Warren Encampment 20, He was grand scibe of Grand Encampment since 1966. had been president of Grand Secretaries and Grand Scribes Association, and was a past secretary of Southeast Iowa Angus Breeders Association. He was a 4-H leader for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; two sons, Robert of Letts and Donald of Fairfield; four daughters, Lola Belle Ranard of Ankey, Marilyn K. Korseberg of Washburn, Wis., Dorothy Crawford od Houston, Texas and Mary Sue of
Clear Lake; three brothers, John of Fairfield, Ervin of Ames and Elvin of Lake Panorama; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after noon today at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola, where family the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Today, following by an Odd Fellows service, the family will receive friends at the Lodge Hall.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Handicap Village of Clear Lake.
