MODESTO, CA -- Rosina Fernella Kennedy, 89, former long-time resident of Swan Valley, ID passed away in Modesto, CA on March 24, 2010. Born in Lewisville, ID on September 4, 1920, she resided in Swan Valley for 75 years and then in Texas and California for the past 14 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cowan F. Kennedy; parents Franklyn Humphrey and Avery (Weeks) Humphrey; brothers David and Franklyn Humphrey; and brothers/sisters-in-law John and Hazel Kennedy, Mary and Floyd Fiscus and John and Edith Berg.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Kennedy of Modesto, CA; nieces Olive Futch (husband Darrell) and Merron Foster (husband Doug) and nephew Franklyn Humphrey (wife Carolee) all of Washington state.

Rosie enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing and traveling and could always be seen carrying one of her pet poodles that she loved so much. She will long be remembered and loved by her family and friends.

The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m., Monday, March 29, 2010 at Wood Funeral Home Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
