On Nov. 12, 1902 in Blount Co., AL, Joseph Andrew "Jack" Gober married Miss Marietta Stanfield (Oct. 12, 1883 AL - Dec. 22, 1948 AL) and they had eight children together by their marriage:

He worked as an engineer for the Railroad in Etowah Co., AL, and he was a Policeman in Birmingham, Jefferson Co., AL during the years he lived there. He was also a retired carpenter at the time of his death.
