Iowa, USA
Death: Jul. 9, 1936

Mary was born to John Henry and Bridget Morf, she was the oldest of their 10 or 12 children to survive to adulthood.

She married Walter Alden on November 13, 1888 at the Catholic Church of Seattle. Together they had 11 children: Joseph, Kathryne, Helen Mary, Gertrude Agnes, Milton and Walter the first set of twins, Gerard and the second set of twins Patricia and Alyce.

Mary grew up in Plymouth Township, Iowa and then later moved to Seattle where she lived in the 1890's. In 1889 when she was newly married she was a school teacher in Washington Territory. She lived in the Seattle area into the mid 1890's.

By 1900 the family was settled in Montana with the oldest three kids in boarding school and the youngest three at home. Around 1904 the family returned to Washington and were living in Spokane, Mary lived there until at least 1930. She then moved to Sierra Madre, California where she probably lived with either her son Walter or daughter Alice, possibly both, until her death.

It is possible that there is no stone, would need to contact cemetery to confirm/deny this. Member #46912576 has reported that the cemetery office confirmed that the burial site is unmarked.
