Louis C. Kantz, 78, who formerly lived at 1834 Union, died at noon Monday in the Indiana Knights of Pythias home, where he had resided the past two years. He had been ill five months.
Born at Beatrice, Neb., he married Bessie M. Jackson in this city in 1903. She died in 1943. He was a 51-year-member of the Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons union, Local 121, and a member of Grace EUB church.
Surviving are two sons, Eugene of Terre Haute, and Lewis of Cicero, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Evans of Medaryville, and Mrs. Mildred Hodson and Mrs. Ruth Eckles, both of Muskegon Heights, Mich.; and two sisters, Mrs. Dora Morris of West Lafayette, and Mrs. Elsie Chapman of West Middleton.
