Micah Anthony Maneelert-Lira of Grass Valley died unexpectedly on Aug. 15, 2011. He was 19 years old.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will meet at 4:20 p.m. Saturday at the Stonehouse on Sacramento Street in Nevada City.

Born on April 16, 1992, in Grass Valley, Micah attended local schools and graduated from Nevada Union High School in 2010.

He was working at Pete's Pizza while saving money for college and planned to major in Music Production and Recording Arts.

Micah had a passion for music, especially guitar. He was a talented guitar player whose compositions were magical. When he wasn't playing guitar, he enjoyed spending time with family and his many friends.

Micah had a kind and generous heart, loving everyone, and was loved by all. His sincere and cheerful laugh brought a smile to anyone who heard it. Micah also loved disc golf, skateboarding, drawing, street art, and a good romp with his dog, Fender.

Micah is survived by his mother, ?; father, ?; brother, ?; maternal grandmother, ?; aunts, ? and ?; uncle, ?; cousin, ?; and paternal grandparents, ? and ? of Los Angeles.

He is also leaving behind many other aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the "Micah Anthony Maneelert-Lira Memorial Fund" at Citizens Bank; checks made payable to ?, his mother.

Arrangements are in the care of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary in Grass Valley.
