Mrs. ida B. Ragan, 78, a resident of West Plains for the last 50 years, died this morning at one o'clock in the Heinrich Rest Home on West Broadway.
She was the former Ida Gobble and was norn Nov. 28, 1873 in Mtn. Grove, Mo.
She was the widow of James Newton Ragan, who died her May 12, 1937. With her at her death was a daughter, Mrs. Bessie Murrell of Willow Springs. The other children are a son, Walter of Marked Tree, Ark., and three daughters, Mrs. Ollie Stroup, Vancover, Wash.; Mrs. PaulineRiggs, Springfield, Ore.; Mrs. Dora Hooser, Yakima, Wash. One daughter, Alberta, preceded her mother in death.
There are 18 grandchildren among the surviving relatives, one sister, Mrs. May Pierce, Houston, Mo., and three brothers, Arion, Anson and John Gobble, all of Monroe, La.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete awaiting word from the children in the west. The body will remain at the Robertson Funeral home until time for services.

FUNERAL SERVICES ARE HELD TODAY FOR MRS. RAGAN
Funeral services for Mrs. Ida B. Ragan of West Plains, who died Tuesday at the Heinrich Rest Home, were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Robertson Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Floyd Wilkenson of Willow Springs.
Burial was in Lone Pine cemetery. Present for the service were a son, Walter of Marked Tree, Ark.; a daughter, Mrs. Bessie Burrell of Willow Springs and others. Three daughters who live on the west coast were unable to be here.
