Trooper Squadron A 1897 - 1900, member of Troop A (Squadron A), NY Volunteer Cavalry, Spanish American War. Promoted, June 6, 1898, to 2nd Lieutenant and transferred to US Volunteer Signal Corp. Assigned to the staff of Brigadier General Wallace Randolph. He saw service in Cuba, discharged, Dec. 8, 1898.
