Belle was born to Lemuel D. and Elizabeth Jane Woodsmall Root. She married John E. Allen March 28, 1901 and he died December 19, 1942. She was a member of the Pinhook Christian Church.
Surviving are three sons, Cecil B., Cleatis and Harvey H., a daughter Mrs. Everett (Dorothy) Reynolds, a brother, Tom Root. Eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A son and a daughter preceded her in death.
Services will be at the Pinhook Christian Church, Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Harold Houston officiating. Burial will be i the Pinhook Cemetery. Day and Carter Mortuary are in charge of the arrangements.
